Sit & Draw Competition

A Sit & Draw Competition was organised at Belur Model Labour Welfare Centre on 11/09/2014 as Calendar Programme. 165 participants took part in the said competition from nearby Industry Houses. Sri P. P. Bhaumik, Welfare Commissioner, West Bengal Labour Welfare Board distributed the prizes to the successful candidates in the presence of Local Personalities.

Carrom Competition At Belghoria, Birlapur and Gourhati

Carrom Competitions were held at the above mentioned three Model Labour Welfare Centres on 19/11/2014 as Calendar Programme. 56 Participants at Birlapur Model Labour Welfare Centre, 61 Participants at Gourhati Model Labour Welfare Centre & 50 Participants at Gourhati Model Labour Welfare Centre took part in these Carrom Competitions.

Health Camp at North Bengal

A Health Camp was organised at Birpara Labour Welfare Centre on 21/11/2014 with the co-operation of Health Department, Government of West Bengal, Birpara Hospital. Eye Check-Up, Sugar Test and ECG and Cardiological Test were conducted and about 550 Beneficiaries were checked in the camp. District Magistrate of Alipurduar, Welfare Commissioner, West Bengal Labour Welfare Board, Joint Labour Commissioner, North Bengal Region, Managers of different Tea-Gardens of Dooars Area and Trade Union Leaders were present in the programme as Hon’ble Guests. It is also mentioned that Scholarship/Stipend were given to 115 beneficiaries and 100 Book Grant were given to the wards of Tea-Garden Workers.

Annual Athletic Sports at Durgapur Region

About 375 competitors from different Factories and Establishments took part in the said Annual Athletic Sports. The Sports was conducted in the presence of a large number of spectators who enjoyed throughout the day at the ground of Durgapur Model Labour Welfare Centre on 21/012/2014. Welfare Commissioner of West Bengal Labour Welfare Board, Eminent Trade Union Leaders and Management Personnel of Durgapur Area were present in the programme.
